1985 License Plate, INDIANA, # 99287A TRUCK 7 (New condition - Unused)
Nothing like finding old items, never used, in storage! (I have found a number of license plates that would bring back memories for someone.) This one shows no marks from mounting, and if used at all, must have been propped up in a back vehicle window, not bolted to a bumper.
Genuine 1985 Indiana License Plate
Number 99287A
TRUCK 7
Probably intended for the cab section of a Tractor-Trailer truck on America"s long haul highways? I am not sure. Maybe for a farm truck to enable it to run on a rural highway, perhaps pulling a trailer load of hay or corn? I simply don"t know. Genuine license plate, anyhow.
A personal note: I live on a farm in Kentucky, but over the years have collected lots of item that were of interest to ME. Now, following my 78th birthday in August, 2016, I will be offering quite a few items from my collections to others who might possibly be interested in having them. Among many other collectables, I will be listing collectable license plates from a number of different states. Most of my prices will start pretty low. If you have questions, please e-mail me.
NOTE: In recent years, there have been several successive increases in postage rates. I now ask the buyer of a collectable license plate to contribute part of the costs of packaging and postage. (I pay the remainder of shipping costs.) You are probably aware that on January 22, 2017 (for the third year in a row) the U. S. Postal Service raised the price of postage.
Sale Price: US $3.50
