1987 License Plate, INDIANA, # 135 D TRACT 36 (Likely Never Used)

Nothing like finding old items, never used, in storage! (I have found a number of license plates that would bring back memories for someone.) This one shows no marks from mounting, and if used at all, must have been propped up in a back vehicle window, not bolted to a bumper.
Genuine 1987 Indiana License Plate
Number 135 D
TRACT 36
NOTE ... although I am fairly sure never mounted in a vehicle, this item has been stored for a couple of decades, and the enamel naturally shows some normal light discoloration. I have no idea whether it could be bleached back to original whiteness, or not. (I will be offering for sale several of these older plates in similar condition.) Maybe it could just be left with a little discoloration as a badge of honor of its age?
Probably intended for the cab section of a Tractor-Trailer truck on America"s long haul highways? I am not sure. Maybe for a farm tractor to enable it to run on a rural highway, perhaps pulling a trailer load of hay or corn? I simply don"t know. Genuine license plate, anyhow.
A personal note: I live on a farm in Kentucky, but over the years have collected lots of item that were of interest to ME. Now, in 2015, at age 77 I will be offering quite a few items from my collections to others who might possibly be interested in having them. Most of my prices will start pretty low. If you have questions, please e-mail me.
NOTE: In recent years, there have been several successive increases in postage rates. I now ask the buyer of a collectable license plate to contribute part of the costs of packaging and postage. (I pay the remainder of shipping costs.)

Sale Price: US $3.25
