This is an original antique Maryland state license plate dated for 1947 with original 1947 tab!!! SUPER RARE - due to the WW2 war effort and resulting metal shortage, Maryland decided to re-issue (recycle) plates from 1945 for use in 1946 and 1947 by issuing  tabs for the upper right corner with the corresponding year.
1945 Maryland plates are fairly unique in and of themselves, but to have one with an original 1947 tab is amazingly rare indeed!
This antique license plate and tab are in original unrestored condition (see pictures), and show some signs of wear to be expected for 
its age. No thin spots, holes, no rot. A fine unrestored example!
