The majority of the license plates I list are overflow from my own license plate craft projects.  I clean all of my license plates in a bath of warm water and mild dish soap but being used license plates you can still expect them not to be in perfect condition but to have scratches, bends, scrapes, fading, extra holes, incomplete stickers, road grime / bug guts and writing / tape on the back.  All license plates have been acquired legally and are all expired.
