The best part though is this plate has the matching registration and rules for using the permit!! These annual permits are issued to construction vehicles (dump trucks, flatbeds delivering materials or equipment, etc) that have to work in DC. They are displayed in addition to the regular plates on the truck. This plate was on a 1985 Mack dump truck registered in MD with MD dump truck plate set DT01772. These permit plates are to be displayed on the front of the vehicle and the “65” on this permit plate meant the weight of the truck could not be over 65,000lbs. Not many of these are issued each year, I have not seen a number over 500 on these “65” plates. All three pages of the “Conditions Applicable…” white sheets are stapled behind the yellow registration.
