From an old Upstate New York Estate, you are looking at an early 1938/1939 New York State motor vehicle license plate, promoting the 1939 New York World"s Fair. Plate/Tag number 9D 68*19 is embossed on the plate. This plate/tag was most likely a Sullivan County, New York Government/9th voting District plate. Plate has seen better days, in poor-fair vintage condition. It has heavy rust on both sides, but is still very much intact. Measures 13.5 inches by 6.25 inches. Very rare and collectible item, so similar examples found on ebay. Sold as-is. Guaranteed authentic.
