FL FLorida 1973 registration plate for a hearse or ambulance in Washington Co.
“This looks new and untouched. Still in wrapper”
Florida license plates (locally called tags) were coded. The first one or two numbers designated the county number (in order of population) followed by one or two letters that indicated the exact type of vehicle it was to go on. The last numbers were simply the serialization of that combination. These can be registered today on a vehicle of the same year. Ask your tag office (tax collector) how to get the tag certified. Each owner of the plate has to have it done.
This plate was for a hearse or ambulance (K) in Washington County (50) and was the 23rd such vehicle.
