Nothing like finding old items, never used or else lightly used and in good condition, in storage! (I have found a number of license plates that would bring back memories for someone.) This one is the design used in Indiana in the mid- 1980s. At that time, the month and year of expiration was added to the basic plate at the time it was issued to activate the license plate. This plate is expired, but was never issued . . . it is perfectly new and unused, in mint condition.

Never activated by adding the decals of stickers showing the expiration month and year. Was ready to be issued and displayed on an Indiana automobile in a year in the era from about 1984 to 1986.

A personal note: I live on a farm in Kentucky, but over the years have collected lots of items that were of interest to ME.
