First issue for the state of Illinois. All original paint.  All original metal. One plate has two extra nail holes that look like they were made for the original mounting.  (They didn"t have frames or mounts in 1911 -- you had to improvise.) The other plate has smaller nail holes that also could be from its original mounting.
