Here is a really nice 1947 Cardboard Motorcycle License Plate.  During the WWII war years (and just after), Illinois used a wood fiberboard to make license plates to save metal for the war effort and recovery. They are also called cardboard and soybean plates. This plate has a small dent and some light edge wear. Otherwise, a great addition to a collection.
