Every year, the Illinois Secretary of State sponsors a vehicle show in Springfield, Illinois during the first weekend of September. The Secretary of State offers special commemorative license plates for the event. In 2014, the show honored the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang. These plates show a 1964 1/2 convertible on the left-hand side of the plate. I am the original owner of these plates and I never mounted them on my car. They are essentially unused.
