Indiana GVW Truck license plate tabs 1943, 1951-56 Here"s a nice group of 5 license plate tabs issued to trucks to indicate the Gross Vehicle Weight tonnage (1 ton to 5 tons shown here). These were issued in the 1950s and corresponded with the plate validation tabs or base. I think undated white is 1951, black 1950, yellow 1952, and then yellow dated 1956. At the top is a Truck validation tab for 1943. I welcome any corrections to this. Good condition all original, evident surface rust and minor dents. THe 1943 tab obviously having the most surface rust but could easily be touched up. Please study photo carefully. Would make a neat small display in your garage or rec-room.
