1913 was the first year that Kansas issued license plates. The motorcycle plates were designed to be displayed horizontally or vertically. If you lost your plate, you were issued a new one with the letter L on it.  This one has the L and the number 99.  It is very worn and rusty with missing metal and nail holes.
