Condition: has some light discooration on front; has more ,moderate discoloration on back; from where it was exposed to sunlight and weather over the years, but even with these minor faults, I would grade the condition as Very Good; I am not sure if this was a business, road or auto tag sign; I estmate it to date to the 1940"s. Perhaps Long Lake NY; I bought it in western Massachusetts. Very much has the look and feel of an embossed auto license plate , which it probably is not. Size is 10 1/2 inches long by 2 1/8 incheswide. It probably could be cleaned up nicely with a little soap and water, but I did no cleaning of the sign; it is as found. My scan of the back makes it appear that the sign has bends; in reality there are no bends in the sign, but rather color fading lines over the years.
