LA "63 "No Pelican" license plate This is the rare variant for 1963 that doesn"t feature the famous Pelican that adorned plates at the time. When they ran over 1,000,000 they had to drop the pelican to make room for 7 digits. vg-exc condition all original, appears never been mounted on a vehicle before, but does have minor scuffing and wear as evident in photo. Note the plate doesn"t lie flat, it has a slight "twist" to it which is an artifact from the stamping process when it was made in prison in "63.
