Louisiana Script or Lipstick License Plate - 2000
“Very Good+ as per ALPCA guidelines.”
First of all this plate complies with Ebay’s rules since it has expired over 3 years ago (both year AND month are considered) and is not a design that can currently be used on the road. This is sold for collection, display or craft purposes only, not for a vehicle.
Secondly, this IS the plate that you will receive – not one with a different serial number or “similar to” the one scanned.
This is a 2000 stickered 1994 Script or “lipstick” base (the lipstick bases started in 1993 and the embossed edge was added to the design in 1994). The condition is Very Good+, refer to the picture.
What man cave, bar or diva den would be complete without a Louisiana plate on the wall?
You might ask why are Louisiana plates rather difficult to find: (1) the population base is rather small at 4.5 million (2) there are just 910 vehicles registered per 1,000 residents (3) it is one of just 19 states to issue plates in singles NOT pairs (4) therefore Louisiana plates are only 1.06% of the plates issued in the US each year. Additionally residents of Louisiana have a tendency to not move out of state. So unless you are in Louisiana or one the bordering states then you just do not see them on the road with much degree or regularity.
Shipping to the US is either $3.90 for a first class package or $5.60 for priority mail. Yes, I will combine multiple winnings into one package. I will ship worldwide; natch the postage will be not the same.

I am retired and ship PDQ when your payment arrives. I prefer PayPal.
The first plate that I sold on Ebay was on 12-17-96, so I have been around the block a time or two.
For those of you who seek an alternate method of collecting - most plate issuing authorities utilize 3 consecutive letters in the serial number. Airport ID"s also have 3 letters. DYA is for the Demopolis Municipal Airport in Demopolis, AL.
