Montana 1976 1991 Bicentennial License Plate -- Yellowstone County -- THX KKD
“Very Good as per ALPCA guidelines.”
First of all this plate complies with Ebay’s rules since it
has expired over 3 years ago (both year AND month are considered) and is not a
design that can currently be used on the road. This is sold for collection, display or craft purposes only, not for a
vehicle.
Secondly, this IS the plate that you will receive – not one
with a different serial number or “similar to” the one scanned.
This is a 1991 stickered 1976 Bicentennial vanity passenger base. The condition is Very Good, refer to the
picture. It has a 89 hologram. The 3 sticker in the lower left center indicates that it was for a passenger vehicle in Yellowstone County (Billings is the county seat). Perhaps Elton John said Thanks Kiki Dee after they sang the Don"t Go Breaking My Heart duet in 1976..
What man cave, bar or diva den would be complete without a quirky Bicentennial Montana Big Sky plate on the wall?
You might ask why are Montana plates somewhat difficult to
find: (1) the population base is small at 0.9 million (2) there are 1120
vehicles registered per 1,000 residents (3) it is one of 31 states to
issue plates as pairs (4) therefore Montana plates are only 0.57%
of the plates issued in the US each year. Additionally residents of Montana have a tendency to not move out of
state. So unless you are in Montana or
one of the surrounding states you just do not see them on the road with much
degree or regularity.
Shipping to the US is either $3.90 for a first class package
or $5.60 for priority mail. Yes, I will
combine multiple winnings into one package. I will ship worldwide; natch the postage will be not the same.

I am retired and ship PDQ when your payment arrives. I prefer PayPal.
The first plate that I sold on Ebay was on 12-17-96, so I
have been around the block a time or two.
