“They're old and were carried in someone's pocket for at least a few years, so yes, there are some surface scratches and abrasions. See photos, and if you have any questions, Please ask.”

OK, this is a pair of vintage keytags put out by the Disabled American Veterans in Minnesota. I"m not sure if this was done in all states (I"ve seen these from Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois, anyway), but here in Minnesota, they used to give you one or two of these if you made a donation to the DAV when you picked up your new license plates. They had your license number on them, and if your keys were lost, whoever found them could just drop them in any mailbox, and they would be mailed back to you. I guess people were more trusting back then. There are two here, with consecutive numbers. They"re made of stamped metal formed over a laminated cardstock with the license plate number, to look like a little license plate. They do show some wear, I"m sure they lived in someone"s pocket for several years, so check out the photos, and if you have questions, feel free to contact me.
