Pair of West Virginia 1942 license plates with no reserve, so don"t let this one slip away. Great condition for over 74 years old. All painting seems original at time of making plates. Plates has not been cleaned and in as found condition. Notice the ties to keep the plates together, i didn"t want to remove so you could see them in as found condition. WV didn"t have front and back plates often, usually one plate for back only. Some mud and dirt is on plates but I"m not cleaning because I want you to see these as found. These plates are good condition and made of metal, strange for 1942, the war years. Color is excellent for the age and use, notice minor rust in photos which is normal for age. The color is black with yellow numbers. I will be posting more old license plates from many other states, some pairs in the future so make me a favorite.
