Deputy sheriff; served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II; West Virginia state auditor, 1961-72; defeated, 1972; delegate to Democratic National Convention from West Virginia, 1972. Methodist. Member, Freemasons; Civitan. Died in 1972 (age about 58 years). Burial location unknown.
