ANTIQUE PAIR 1918 WISCONSIN ISSUED LICENSE PLATES # 117159
ORIGINAL, UNRETOUCHED CONDITION
This is a pair of 1918 Wisconsin state issued License Plates # 117159. It is hard to find a pair of plates; many sellers have sold the pairs separately as single plates.
The plates are all original, unrestored, and unretouched. One plate has no extra holes. The second plate has two extra holes. The plates are flat with no holes or dents, except for a very slight gap on the top left of the second plate (see the last picture). They have discoloration and rust.

Wisconsin began issuing license plates in 1905. In 1916 Wisconsin started to use “Wis” for the state on license plates instead of “W.” However, the 1918–1920 passenger plates still identified the state with the letter “W.”
