This auction is for a rare original Conover, NC masonite license plate. It measures 5 x 12, and is very good condition. I"ve never seen one before, and I couldn"t find any information about this plate online. Given the design and material used, I believe it dates to sometime during WW2, when steel was reserved for the war effort whenever possible. I can"t imagine that many of these would have survived. A nice rare piece of NC history. Please review the photos of the front and back in Supersize mode.
