Up for bid is a pair of Rhode Island license plates, 1980 Ocean State base, may possibly have special significance because of the BB-46 designation. BB-46 was the battleship USS Maryland, which was on battleship row the morning of the attack on Pearl Harbor. It has been suggested these plates may have been issued to a serviceman with a connection to that ship. Please note: I have no way to prove or otherwise verify that theory - it has simply been suggested to me. The plates have considerable wear and tear, along with a lot of stickers.
