You are bidding on a 1960s era US Forces in Spain license plate This unusual style was used through the 1960s in Madrid (M-prefix) for US Forces personnel in Spain for their own private vehicle, in other words, for civilian use as denoted by the zero in the third position in the serial number. About 15½ long, a sturdy aluminum base with embossed polished aluminum rim. Black plastic numbers securely riveted on the front. g-vg condition all original, lies nice and flat, has two small extra holes neatly drilled along the bottom for mounting onto the vehicle. Background and raised lettering have some paint wear. Note that the numbers appear slightly touched up with a felt pen (probalby not evident in photo) Buyer to pay $7 shipping within North America.
