Original issue, low digit 1956 Historic Vehicle plates are impossible to find. This is the eleventh plate issued by the State of Missouri who began issuing plates with # 1000. This past summer I attended the estate auction of former ALPCA member #5935 Paul Hatmon who was very well known in the antique car hobby. He bought, sold, traded, restored and built 100 or more old cars. He was instrumental in the locating and transporting the two original cars once owned by Harry S Truman. Those two cars are now on display at the Harry S Truman library and museum in Independence, Missouri. I have the mate to this plate and I also have a photo of the car it was registered to. IF and when I can find it I will send a copy to the winner of the plate. The plate has had a lot of touch up.
