“Rusty, loss of color”

Kansas started issuing auto license plates in 1913, from 1913 through 1920 no year or county abbreviation was shown on the tag, only KAN. Believe it is a 1918 or 1919. I don"t know how to get any closer to the issue date. It measures 15 by 6, with 188747 KAN on front side. The lettering may have been black or dark blue with a white background, hard to tell. Has surface rust on both sides, with paint loss. There is four small holes in the same locations, on four corners, I believe they were made when the tag was pressed out. Has a couple small dents. This old plate is a little rough but it is quite old, where you going to find another one. You can get these refurbished to look like the original.
