“Some wear on these mini tags, but VG condition”

You"re bidding on four vintage DAV license plate keychain tags, all from the 1960s. These little beauties are quite hard to come by from this state, which has only about a half million residents. The tags were begun as a fundraiser by the Disabled American Veterans organization back in the 1940s. People who bought license plates for their autos and trucks would receive a miniature set of those plates in the mail - exact down to color and number for that year. The idea was to put them on your keychain and if the keys were lost, the finder need only drop them into a mailbox and the DAV would be able to determine the owner and send them back. Naturally, it was hoped that recipients would donate to the organization. This clever promotion lasted until the mid-1970s. These are in excellent condition and probably were not added to a keychain but kept in a drawer somewhere. They"ll probably clean up a bit more - I haven"t touched them. Thanks for looking!
