Vintage plates commemorating Toledo, Ohio
These two vintage plates commemorate two buildings in Toledo, Ohio. One is the post office or Jefferson Center, formerly located on Madison and 13th Street and most recently called The Old Post Office. It is named on the plate as the New Post Office. This plate is in pristine condition. The other plate is of the Lucas County Courthouse, and has some damage to its perimeter decoration. Since the Jefferson Center was built in 1911, the plates must date to sometime in the first half of the 20th century, before the main post office was built on South St. Clair. The plates measure 5 inches in diameter. These are real collectors items of the area.
