During the era of WW2 metal was in short supply. Most old metal was donated to the war effort. I would think that the old license plates were one of the items that went to scrap. This one is as found , It is in nice shape but does need a new paint job as you can see . It is heavy metal and is straight and has only surface rust . Would look great in that collection ! I have been coming up with some NEAT stuff please check my other listings. I have excellent feedback no surprises with me !
