Description:

I have owned this car since May of 1987. When I bought the car I immediately removed the original 318 and installed a fresh 360 with a 268 comp cam and a 650 double pumper which is still in the car today. In 1988 the 904 was replaced with a modified 727 which had bigger clutches installed. The car was repainted in 1990 and still has that paint on it today. The lower of the rear quarters behind the tires bubbled back thru, the left side is worse than the right. I have included pictures of them. I installed a 8 3/4 Sure Grip with 4:10 ratio. The front end was rebuilt about 5 years ago with new front disk brakes installed. New BF Goodrich tires were put on then as well. Since I bought this car I don't think I have put more than 10, 000 miles on it. The car does have a salvage title because it was a theft recovered car, therefor the title was salvaged. I do know that the car is from California originally. I knew the owners and the car before it was taken from them and taken back to California because of the theft. They were out what they paid for the car. About a year later the car showed back up in my home town in Iowa with a different owner and was able to buy the car. it has been mine every since. For some reason the car had a Challenger dash put in. I am guessing it was done to get rid of the VIN tag. But that is just a guess. The car has always been garaged since I have owned it, and been in a climate controlled shop the past 11 years. The added sun roof has been in the car since the first time I seen the car, so no I didn't install it. I do not know when it when or why it was installed. The only true bad spots on the body are the lower quarters and a few bubbles around the rear window. The trunk and floor pans are all good as is the frame. The console lid cover is broke and loose but still sits on the console well. The Slap stick functions properly and the 727 still shifts great. The passenger seat has a crack along the seem and the dash pad is cracked around the speaker. The rear speaker shelf is going to need to be replaced. I installed a Pioneer CD player in it a few years ago.
Car drives great and still turns heads every time I drive it. The only reason I want to sell it is because I am out of room in my shop and I find myself needing to make some room. Plus I don't have time to drive it much, I really want someone to buy it who will give it time and appreciate it. I Have tried my best to describe the car as good as I can. I must include though that the car is sold AS IS and with no warranty. I really would like for the car to be picked up from my house with in 7 days from the end of the auction. But I am willing to work with anyone if needed. I have tried my best to describe the car as good as I could. I am selling locally so I reserve the right to end this auction if the right amount of cash is offered.
I do have a disassembled 1969 340 if you are interested. Please email me with any Questions.
Thanks for looking.
