Description:

This is a original 69 barracuda that came from the factory with a 440 and automatic transmission. About 15 years ago more or less the second owner decided to pro street it but lost interest in it before it was finished. The original engine was already gone before he got it and he had a Hemi put in it. The Hemi was a old Super Stock engine that had the sides shaved off and the lifter galley polished and it was a 73 block. When pulling the hemi out of the car I just happened to notice the elephant ears were stamped Sox & Martin ! They are still on the car but now it has a fresh 440 bored and stroked to 505 with Edelbrock Victor heads and Edelbrock super victor intake with a 1100 cfm Quick Fuel Dominator carburetor, Comp roller cam and T&D 1.6 roller rockers and main bearing girdle. There is a copy of the dyno sheet in pictures. The transmission is a 727 with turbo action reverse manual valve body with trans brake and 5000 rpm stall converter and aluminum drums. It has a MSD ignition with 2 step, It has 2 inch TTI headers. The drive shaft is Victory chrome molley with billet yokes on both ends. The chassis was done by a professional chassis builder on the east coast about 15 years ago and was probably a Alston kit. The rear end is a Dana and probably has 513 gears for it goes across the line at 6700 RPM with 33 inch tall tires at 127 MPH. It has a Cheta shifter and command center. It has disc brakes all the way around and line lock.It has torsion bars on the front with 90/10 shocks and coil overs on the back with ladder bars and wheelie bars. On the street it will spin the tires some but neve completely loose traction, on the track it lifts the front wheels and goes. It would make a winning bracket car. The paint and body work is also 15 years old but very good for a race car.The engine and about every thing but the body and chassis is less than 6 months old. The cam in the car was made for a street car. It is a Comp roller with 253 intake and 263 exhaust duration @ .050 and 684 lift on intake and 692 on exhaust. and a lobe separation of 112 . It would not be hard to get this car in the low 10s or high 9s. If I do not sell the car I will have the heads ported and change the cam and I think that will get it at least to the low 10s. The wheels and tires are new mickey thompson on weld wheels.
