1967 Plymouth Barracuda
This car was just found in a garage under some blankets. It has sat there for the last 20 years. The elderly couple I purchased this from said that while driving home the brakes went out driving at a low speed. They were able to use the E brake and pull to the side of the road. The tow truck took the car home and put it in their garage where it sat for the last 20 years. I have not touched the exterior of the car but with a day of washing and waxing it would look nice.
There are a few blemishes all over the car, paint is flaking at the gas cap, and some of the window seals are very weathered with a few gaps.
It is not a show car but a nice driver quality.
The car has not been started in all this time and I had to try. I put in a new battery, checked the fluids, put some starting fluid in it and it fired up. Only had it running for a minute but there were no knocks or noises from the engine. Will only crank over with the help of starting fluid but will not stay running. Interior is in good shape. Very dusty. As you can see from the pics both front seats need the bottom section recovered, headliner had the seam come undone. Rear seat is in great shape. Back area carpet has come unglued and sagging down. Dash is in good condition with no cracks
There is no visible rust on this car. It originally came from southern California and has had 2 owners.
It still has NO brakes. The Emergency brake holds very little. You can put the pedal to the floor and NOTHING.
This car will need some TLC but is an incredible start for someone. Reserve is set very low.
