Up for sale is my 1972 Plymouth Valiant. It has a 318 with two Nissan T3 turbos making it the ultimate sleeper. It is an original low mileage car wearing the original paint, hub caps etc. There is not a drop of rust on the car and the paint still shines though it is worn through in a few places. The body is straight but has a few dings, rubs and scratches here and there. Nothing major. The interior is original and in good shape. It does need a headliner and the bottom part of the driver seat is worn. The dash is in good shape, the gauges and door panels are great. The carpet has a hole where the drivers foot sits. This is a clean, original car. Led tail lamp bulbs, manual steering conversion. Dome light, fender mounted signals, dash lights, map light, glove box light all work. Alpine CD player but no speakers hooked up.
Now for the fun part. It has the original 318 that I installed two Nissan turbos on. It has modified headers, a performer intake with a Hanger 18 blow through modded Holley 650, an Msd 6A with a boost timing master (hidden in glove compartment) with control knob, new timing chain and summit SUM-6900 cam (perfect for drivability and boost). It is backed by a recently rebuilt 727 trans with shift kit and an 8 1/4 big bolt pattern rear (open diff). The down pipes have O2 sensors installed for tuning. Manual drum brakes all the way around. Down pipes with flow masters dumped ahead of the rear axle.
The car is a blast to drive. I have only taken it up to 7 lbs of boost though the turbos should be capable of more. It is quick for a mild 318 but drives like stock (but louder). I've never had it to the track or the dyno so I won't through out any numbers but it definitely is fun and without popping the hood it appears completely stock so it suprises quite a few people. The build thread for it is on the Turbo Forums projects section under more-door valiant. I believe you have to join to see the thread. I will post a couple of video links here.
I'm straight shooter. If you have any questions feel free to ask. While the car is great to drive it's not without a few things I would fix if I had more time and money. It gets warm after driving through traffic on 100 degree plus days or after boosting it a bunch of times in a row. It has the original radiator that has been rodded out (could use a big aluminum). It leaks some oil which appears to be from the back of the pan or the rear main. The driver side wiper works but isn't connected to the passenger side. After I rebuilt the trans you have to lift for just a second to get it to shift to third at part throttle. I think this could be saved with a screw adjustment on the valve body but I haven't had time to check. It could really use a tachometer. Has a couple exhaust leaks.
I don't want to give the wrong impression. I drive the car to work every couple of weeks and it is great. Just don't want any suprises for the buyer so I'm trying to list all the flaws I can think of.
This was my first turbo build and it has been a lot of fun. I wish I could keep the car but I'm moving and have no room for it at the new place.
