This beautiful lemon twist yellow Duster 340 is ready for a new home. Daughter is getting married and some other life changes means someone else gets this reliable, no excuses example of mopar muscle. It's a true Duster 340 H code four speed that is all metal, extremely clean and will show and go anywhere. It is like a circus on wheels to drive with everyone giving thumbs up and of course the stories people tell of their friends Duster that used to blow away all the Chevelles and Mustangs. Manual disc brakes and manual steering make this machine all business. It is still very easy to drive and light and maneuverable around town.
The underside of this car looks as good as the top as there are no frame issues or repairs, no floorboard repairs, no rust, and all of the steering and brakes and driveline are tight and do what they are supposed to do. The exhaust features the original hp manifolds feeding 40 series mufflers and exits the rear through original tips. No smoking or burning oil from the 340 and you can speed shift through all four gears and then try to wipe the smile off your face. It has the more preferable sharks tooth grille installed as I prefer that and the 340 hood treatment so the car does appear a 71 but it is a 70.
The wipers work great, the windows roll up and down, the interior needs nothing except a radio. The exterior is extremely straight, no wavy lines down the side on this one. I will let the pictures do the talking but I didn't even detail the vehicle for the pics.
The bad: I need to finish off the hood pins. No big deal, I have quality ones that I need to install, not the mickey mouse ones. Ill have that done prior to end of auction. No radio as stated earlier, though you don't need one with the exhaust. The 150 mph speedo and the fuel gauge are inoperative. I have not checked into this. I'm sure it wouldn't be rocket science to figure them out. I just keep the tank full when I cruise it. There are some bubbles starting on some of the wheel wells down low, not above the wheel, just on the lower parts behind the wheels. It still looks great to drive around and show, but your nit-picky friends that like to come up and point out flaws will point out the bubbles. It will require minor bodywork and paint blending down low to get this corrected. A magnet will still stick to all of it, don't worry. The engine is not original to the car but is a very healthy stock 72 vintage 340. The vinyl top is original and does have some small bubbles here and there and a couple of small cracks but is still presentable. I am presenting this car straight forward and honest.
