*1968 Plymouth Fury III Convertible*
Before you is my 1968 Plymouth Fury III Convertible
*A solid car throughout. (floors, frame, frame rails) I lifted the trunk mat last week and found some rust underneath it, the only rust on the car. I have held off on this and will leave it up to the new owner to address as they see fit...a pic illustrates the surface extent.
*Very low miles, only 13, 000 +/- since the 318 engine was rebuilt!
*Garaged & pampered, non smoker, no pets.
*Restorative work performed from 2006-present consisted of the following:
*Complete rebuild of the original 318 V8 engine. It starts every time & holds a smooth idle.
*Assuredly, there are NO annoying drips or leaks anywhere!
*Fuel tank was removed, cleaned and resealed.
*The AC was removed and not reinstalled. It would need a new compressor, condensor, lines, etc.
*Rebuild of the 3-speed, factory 727 torque flite automatic transmission, it shifts very smoothly.
*Front end rebuild, tie rods, control arms, ball joints & shocks, it feels tight and does not jump around.
*A new oversized radiator was installed
*Power steering and power brakes were added. The rear drums were turned, and front end calipers were added installed. The emergency brake holds and releases properly. The steering is light & easy, the Fury floats!
*The car was completely rewired front to back in addition to new plugs, belts, and hoses.
*Fully block sanded & repainted in Plum Crazy purple. The paint finish still presents with a nice luster.
*The seating areas have been re-upholstered in black and gray in a style similar to the original.
*The Dash was wrapped and new floor matts were put in and new door panels were installed
*The power top operates properly in both up & down modes. New vinyl top 2013.
*New halogen headlights were added and all lights work
*New wheels and tires were installed
*Door panels & sun visors are in good shape
*All original glass throughout, no cracks. All windows track properly through their up and down motions. The side vent windows crank open and close tightly.
*Window gaskets and weather stripping are decent, however, they are starting to show their age. The trunk gasket shows the most age.
*The chrome is presentable on both bumpers with no flakes, chips or pitting.
*The original Am radio is not installed, but comes with the car (along with some other parts if desired). This vehicle is being sold without the radio.
*The clock tells the correct time twice each day! Forget what time it is...when you're in the Fury III Convertible, it's time to have fun!
*The horn is operable.
All lights, high & low beams, dash, vanity, side markers, directionals and even the top fender turn signals are functional.
*All features and equipment including the instrument gauges are operational.
*All knobs, buttons, and stalks are present
*Recent service included a new battery, filters, all fresh fluids, belts & hoses, etc.
The Fury looks, runs & drives great! I have used it as a daily driver. While it is not a show car, it is a very presentable driver quality example of American automotive history.
The Fury can be driven anywhere with pride of ownership. It always garners compliments and receives the...thumbs up!
You are bidding to purchase the Fury, not to be the first to, look at it. Inspections are welcomed and will be facilitated to the best of my ability prior to the auction concluding.
I have set a very reasonable reserve for the Fury, it is commensurate with the car, the car's condition and the low miles.
Please DO NOT ask me what the reserve is, as I will not disclose it. Bid what you can afford and are willing to pay for a good quality 1968 Plymouth Fury III Convertible in the condition you see before you.
I have represented the Fury honestly & accurately.

Payment methods: Paypal, Cashier check, wire transfer, or cash. Please note that eCheck and cashier check will have a waiting period until the check is cleared.
An initial payment of $1000.00 is due & payable within 24 hours of auction close VIA PayPal.
The balance is then due & payable within 7 days thereafter under condition and arrangement made between myself and the buyer.
I require the buyer to establish contact by e-mail within 24 hours of auction close to further discuss the transaction and arrangements.
I prefer a legitimate bank to bank wire transfer as it provides a documented record of the transaction for both parties.
As soon as funds are confirmed, the car is yours.
Transportation and/or shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer.
The Fury and I are located in the Kansas City vicinity. While I am confident that the Fury could be driven home to anywhere in the states (I recently drove it from Michigan), remember that it is a 46 year old automobile and as such, is sold in as is condition.
If you elect to fly in and drive home, I will gladly pick you up from the airport.

The Fury is an affordable fun classic convertible that does not require one to break the bank to own. It is ready for the drive-in, an ice cream run with the grandkids, late summer evening cruises or a weekend in the mtns. for the upcoming fall foliage! (it has excellent heat & defrost)
