1997 Plymouth Grand Voyager Rallye Edition

Plymouth Grand Voyager Rallye Edition (1997)
for sale

Price: US $700.00

Description:

1997 Plymouth Grand Voyager, Rallye Edition, automatic transmission, 3.3 Liter V6 engine, 4-door van (with sliding side doors) and full rear liftgate (tailgate) [5 doors total], Island Teal Satin Glow (color), gray cloth seats with carpeted interior, tinted windows, power locks and windows, power driver's seat with 2 Captain's chairs up front, 2 in middle, and 1 full bench in rear (seats 7 people VERY comfortably), four 15-inch Quasar Sparkle Silver cast aluminum OEM wheels, with over 226, 300 miles on vehicle. Original spare is available, plus an additional full size spare and wheel will be included (2 spares). All seats behind front seats fold down and/or remove from van, allowing for tremendous interior cargo and hauling space -- even 4' x 8' boards and panels lay in with ease.
Van is in fair-to-good condition for its age and miles; it has some rust and some minor dings -- car is in essentially the same condition as when we purchased it in October 2010; we are the second owners; we still start it and drive it

every week,
for short errands, and have used it mostly for grocery and storage runs. It starts right up and drives out smooth every time and handles well.
We have steadily maintained and done (or had done) work on the vehicle, including:
-- only 3, 146 miles on upper engine rebuild, Precision Tune, Shawnee, KS, Aug 2013 [odometer: 223, 232]
-- only 2, 684 miles on transmission repair, Cottman of Gladstone, MO, Sept 2013 [odometer: 223, 694]
-- newer battery, Dec 2013 (still clean and strong - fires right up every time)
-- replaced upper radiator hose, thermostat, thermostat seal and gasket, April 2015, at Midway Ford, Kansas City, MO
-- recent

fresh
oil and filter change, April 2015, at Gladstone Dodge, Gladstone, MO
We had

front brake pads and rotors
replaced and/or repaired right at the beginning, in November 2010, along with replacing the sway bar and linkages and the muffler. We have been doing minor upkeep and maintenance work on different areas of vehicle, step-by-step, as need arises, and as time and money have permitted, in addition to the major items listed above. Whatever comes up next will be done in the same manner, as long as we own the vehicle. If any additional work needs doing before sale, it will be added into opening price. May need new tires soon. A/C Compressor may need replacing and system will need to be serviced. Carpeting has dark stain spots and vehicle has some rust, all of which were there since we have owned vehicle.
Oil pressure sensor may need checking and/or replacing.
All power windows work from driver's door, but passenger front window switch will need replacing, and power locks sometimes need manual assistance.
We had the original AM/FM/CD/Cassette
stereo replaced with a JVC
AM/FM/CD unit. Speakers work great. We had ignition key cylinder replaced some time ago with new one and new ignition key due to original cylinder starting to lock up (common on these vans). Original key was for doors and ignition. If there are any extra keys or anything pertinent to vehicle located after sale, we will mail them to buyer at later date.
However, since we are moving, and cannot take the van with us, the next owner(s) can proceed with the process to their own benefit. We are taking a loss, as the price we are asking does not even cover the costs of our more recent work (approximately $2, 900 on engine, trans, and battery alone!). This is to the new owner's advantage. Someone with mechanical ability can continue to improve on this van!
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you enter the VIN into a VIN search, just about all of the companies, such as CarFax, AutoCheck, etc., have some key information incorrect regarding this vehicle. Specifically, they list it as a 3-Door van, with a 3.0 Liter engine, and having the SE trim, but don't list it as being the Rallye Edition. Our photos clearly show a 4-Door van with a full rear liftgate (5-door) and the more popular Rallye Edition. We can show that this van has the much more desireable 3.3 Liter engine. The SE decal would be on the tailgate, below and to the right of the Grand Voyager decal, yet there has never been any SE on the vehicle. We suspect that sometime along the way, near the very beginning, someone entered the wrong information on one of these sites, and everyone has simply borrowed the same wrong information over and over, without ever attempting any corrections or checking for accuracy. We assure you that the information AS LISTED HERE BY US is verifiable and correct.

Winning bidder must pay through PayPal. If local buyer, Cash will also be accepted at time of actual signing of Bill of Sale and Title. Arrangements can be made for local pickup.
