This is a great project for someone looking for a fairly complete big block Mopar with its orig engine. It is straight as an arrow, doesnt appear to have ever been wrecked and still has its orig paint on it! The numbers match on title, dash vin, fender tag, engine block and I have a good build sheet. The trans is not orig but is a torqueflight trans. The car still has its orig 8-3/4 rear end as well. I don't know what gear is in it but it does have a 489 case which is the big diameter pinion as it should have. The yoke is missing. The engine is pretty complete and is still standard bore. I have the rockers and shafts too for the heads. I also have the timing chain cover and harmonic bal. No exhaust manifolds or valve covers thou. Radiator is also awol. Everything else seems to be there including orig carb. The car needs alotta rust repair but how many left still with orig engine? It is an original f8 green car which is a beautiful dark metallic color. It is also optioned with a pearl white vinyl top and white accent stripes below the body side mouldings over the black. The front half of the car is in really good shape, the back half is where it will need most of the work. I tried to provide pics of all the rusted areas. The floors need a few patches or just get the one piece replacement floor and do the whole thing. The trunk needs a couple small patches but I don't think the gas tank is savable (just kidding-count on replacing entire trunk floor) The frame rails appear to be pretty good. The right rocker needs work on bottom side. The trunk lid is junk but I have 2 spares that will make one good one. The hood has a little rust thru on the underside brace in the front but I have a spare flat hood that the underside brace can be used for patches. The gaps on the doors, hood and fenders are close to perfect as is the grill. All of the chrome trim is still on the car except the rear window trim which I don't have. All the glass is good except rear window which I don't have either. The front wheels DO NOT go with this car. It will have rollers on it. The dash and gauges are really nice on this car including the dash pad. The door hinge areas (side cowl) and jambs have no rust. I don't have the console or the shifter.
I have too many projects in front of this car right now so I have decided to sell it in lieu of completing it. This is not a fire sale nor desperation liquidation so abandon any dreams of getting it “cheap”. It IS for sale at a fair market value not some pie in the sky fantasy number.
Don't bother emailing me with pointless questions like what is least you will take for it? (I want the most I can get, duh!) or what is your reserve?
If your a serious buyer make me a serious offer or just bid on it.
WHATEVER YOU DO DONT BID ON IT IF YOU CANT COMMIT. I don't have time or patience for buyers who back out after they have won the auction and outbid other parties who may actually want the car.
I have done my best to describe this car but there is no accounting for individual taste. As usual winning bid is NOT an invitation to inspect but a legally binding contract to purchase. This car is available for inspection any time prior to auction ending. I urge any interested parties to either inspect car themselves or send someone to act as their agent. YOU WIN THE AUCTION I EXPECT YOU TO PAY FOR THE CAR. This car is sold without warranty. 20% non-refundable down pymt due 7 days after auction end. Vehicle must be picked up within 3 weeks or storage charges will apply.
