This is a REAL DEAL Plymouth GTX and more importantly this was born with a 4-spd manual transmission. Rare, rare, rare! Around 300 4-spd GTXs were built in 1971 and this is one of them. Somewhere along the way an automatic 727 was added in place of the 4-spd. Luckily the builder left the clutch pedal and some of the linkage which would make going back to a manual a fairly easy task. Included in this sale is an original 4-spd A833 Plymouth transmission with Hurst shift linkage. There are a few pieces missing (bell housing, clutch etc) but easily found. Engine is extremely strong and sounds fantastic -- a real head turner.

Car was originally from AZ which may explain its lack of rust. Restoration took place in late 80's but it has been very lightly driven since. Less than 3K miles since the restoration. Mostly used for car shows and short drives. Happy to provide more information or pictures.

We have set a low reserve that will not even be close to what we have into the car. We just want it to go to a good home. This car deserves to be driven and enjoyed more than we have time for.
Good LUCK!

“This car is in exceptional condition for a 20+ year old restoration. EXTERIOR: There is one ding on the lower drivers side door, a few very minor blemishes on the front bumper and minor paint imperfection on the lower rear quarter panel (took me several months before I even saw it). INTERIOR: There is a minor 1/4-1/2" separation on each of the front seats and another on the rear bench. Carpet is in good condition but could be reattached.” |
