Description:

CHRYSLERS at CARLISLE PA Delivery is available !!. Up for grabs is a unique and low option when ordered B5 Blue 1969 PLYMOUTH GTX that has been in dry storage for over 25 years. This car just came out of a private owners collection after many years of persuasion to sell by all who have known about this diamond tucked away. It is now available to be bought finally. This car has been tucked away in a dry storage machine shed since 1990 and it has just 86, 976 true original miles on it. This GTX has the 375 hp 440 engine with the bulletproof 727 Automatic behind it followed up by an 8 3/4 rear with 3.55 gears. The car has been sitting since the last time it was actually tagged and on the road in 1995 so it will be needing some mechanicals to be roadworthy again. We DO currently have it running and moving around the lot but the brakes do not work and the exhaust needs to be replaced. So it cannot currently be driven on the road. The only aftermarket modifications that i can see were done back in the day were a set of Moroso chrome valve covers, Hooker headers and the Mopar Electronic Ignition kit. The rocker panels, framerails, firewall, trunk, floorpans and overall structure of the car is in very good shape with only minor work needed to be cosmetically decent. Im not saying they are all perfect but they are very good for a car of this caliber. The lower sections of both rear quarter panels were patched sometime in the 1980's and it was not the best job done. The history on it goes, The car was orginally parked and was to be stripped down to bare metal, new lower quarter patches put in and painted but that never happened so it ended up getting put away like a time capsule. All door glass is in very good shape and so is the windshield. The side trim, roof mouldings, and windshield trim were mostly removed to start the bodywork process and that is as far as it got. All original trim is there with the car along with the Original HP exhaust manifolds to the car that were put away years ago and luckily saved when the headers got installed and the matching spare wheel and tire is still in the trunk as well. I was surprised to see that the Original Carter 4 barrell carb and unsilenced air cleaner are still on the car as well as the woodgrain steering wheel. Rare items to find still on a car like this for sure. Heck, the interior light even still comes on when you open the door. Not sure if the car is numbers matching or not but what i can verify is that the trunk lip, core support, fender tag and dash Vin plate all match to the Original and CLEAR Virginia state title. The pad in front of the intake on the 440 engine reads .. E 440 then a Maltese Cross... HP 2 .then a 3 .then a .6. The fender tag reads ... 1st line... 08101 113524 9A1158xx... 2nd line ... 917 593 093 ... 3rd line ... 6W B5 B5 P6D B7 4th line ... RS23 E86 D32 904 059724. The fender tag is really kind of rare in the fact that the GTX is supposedly a more heavily optioned out car and this one barely has any options other that the Power Steering and the original AM radio in it. This is a NON air grabber, NO a/c, and NO Power Brakes car and all original parts seem to be there to make this and easier restoration. Less time needed hunting down hard to find date coded parts. I am ecouraging all who are interested and wanting to bid, to come see and hear the car run for yourself in person. I am normally available after 6pm in the evenings. I am going to be at the Chryslers at Carlisle PA swap meet and show on Saturday July the 11th and i am willing to deliver it there for the winning bidder as long as the deposit is paid for in full first. This is a rare and truely unique car indeed and i am sure it will end up going to a great new owner who will appreciate what a tough 440 Mopar has to offer. We are going to start the bidding very low to be fair to all who have been after this car for so long. Thanks and good luck to all bidding. I DO NOT SHIP OUTSIDE OF THE United States, so NO international bidding.. Sorry!
