I'm selling my 2001 Plymouth Neon LX. I purchased this used in 2013 and have used it regularly since then. This bad boy has 87, 835 miles the only reason I'm selling it is because I was able to get a great deal on a newer car from a family member. Here's the recent, and most notable replacement parts and work that I've had done.
March 2015
Timing belt broke- Head was completely rebuilt, new water pump installed, new timing built installed. A fairly large job but it was worth taking care of.
September 2015
Brand new tires installed, new front brake rotors, rebuilt rear brakes
October 2015
The ignition cylinder was acting up so Anastos motors replaced it, after replacing it the original key only works when put in one direction, I have it marked on the key. It always works perfectly when you use it in the correct way.
Here's what is acting up a little bit. There is a small evaporator seal leak, causing the check engine light to go on. I have a code reader and I can show you it's just a small leak it's probably one of the hoses that needs tightening. I'll work on tightening them all up if I have the time. Also the Oil Pressure Sensor Switch needs to be replaced. It's causing the oil light to come on the dashboard. it happens after five minutes of driving and it will stay on for the rest of the trip. It's a ten dollar part if you want to replace it yourself but it's a bit tricky to get to because it's on the back of the engine. I found a youtube video showing how to get to it but I just don't have the time. I have a lot of assorted parts for the car that will be included. Besides the things I listed above it could use an oil change and it's probably about time to rotate the tires.
The interior and exterior aren't perfect but they are about what you would expect for a car that's 15 years old. I tried to take pictures of everything that's worth noting, some of the clear coat is flaking on the door and the paint has some scratches mostly on the lid of the trunk. The interior is relatively clean without any significant stains but there is a rip in the back seat and in general not perfect but not bad either. The Air Conditioning doesn't work, it didn't work when I purchased the car and it never was much a concern for me, since the windows roll down. If you have any questions please let me know.
This car is a great ride it just needs a little TLC these cars are pretty popular for the sake of modding and personalizing. This would be a great first car for anyone but I'd prefer if it went to someone comfortable working on their own car. I would love for anyone seriously interested to take a test drive with me in the passenger seat.

“This car needs a decent amount of small work. Not in perfect condition but it's a solid runner. Someone comfortable working on their own car will feel quite at home with this one. It is reliable and just needs some TLC.” |
