READ EVERYTHING WORD FOR WORD.
The truck is listed as having a 5.9 motor because that was the only selection given besides the other two. This Trailduster has a 440 big block out of a 1978 Dodge motor home with 89, XXX original miles.
Now about the truck. ..This is a 1980 Plymouth Trailduster 4WD. I have spent a lot of money on the mechanical end of things, so here we go:
In the past 8 months, here what has been done to the truck. ..New Firestone Destination M/T tires, New 2-1/2 inch exhaust from the manifold back and new mufflers, New Edelbrock 600 carb, New distributor, New Alternator, New voltage regulator, New plugs/wires, New 3-core radiator, New 850 CCA battery, New 8000 lb. WARN winch, New WARN lock in/lockout hubs, rebuilt New Process 208 transfer case with new range fork installed, New brake system including rotors/pads/calipers/steel lines/rubber hoses in front, New drums/shoes/wheel cylinders/steel line in back, New Skyjacker leaf springs w/2 inch lift in front and 4 new Rancho shocks (2 each side)/ New Rancho shocks in back along with existing heavy duty leaf springs.
Stereo system: Kenwood stereo/CD with USB etc. Rockford Fosgate 6X9 in each door. Memphis 600 watt amp and 2 10-inch subs in back.
Front seat is a tan bench. Back seat is black vinyl that folds up for more hauling space.
The top is removable by unbolting from the windshield frame and bed. A blast to drive in the summer.
This truck will start and go anywhere. I wouldn't be afraid to drive it to CA. and back. It does need TLC to make it nicer, but if you want something dependable, hard working and fun this truck is for you. The motor runs like a top, the 727 transmission is good and the 4WD works exactly as expected.
The paint is a rattle can job. Tan camo spray paint, black spray undercoating on the trim and flat black paint on the hood. Just following a popular paint scheme from that time period.

UPDATED INFO: This Trailduster was used as the antagonist in the feature film THE TRUCK starring John Michael Morris and Rachelle Christine. It was primer grey and had different wheels/tires on it for the film. A picture of the poster is what you're seeing. Own a piece of cinematic history as it is one of a kind. I have decided to include a free DVD copy of the film and an autographed poster. Heck, I'll even autograph the truck for you if you wish. I am the writer/producer/director of the film. Place you bids and good luck to all.
I have done all the hard work for the truck, the mechanical. With a bit more TLC it can be a real champion.
UPDATE: 7/2/2015 The truck will include a set of heavy duty jumper cables, fire extinguisher, 4 way lug wrench, bottle jack and now an extra set of Viper 15 subs in the box.
Feel free to contact me with any questions about the vehicle and if you would like to see video of it running or being driven I can provide that as well.
