Plymouth Other (1966)
for sale

Price: US $500.00

Description:

A half-century old, slant 6 powered, long roof pedal car doormobile, featuring all manual operations including a classic three-on-the-tree tranny. I did a Carfax on this vehicle when I purchased it and found that it was began it's life in Califormia, spent a good deal of time in Nebraska, then a very short stint in Pennsylvania, Ohio and now resides in Minneapolis Minnesota.
I've done little to the car since I've owned it, other than replacing a poor performing Holly carb with a Carter, reupholstering the front seat, repairing an exhaust leak and replacing the stock 13 wheels with 14 wheels. (I saved the originals) The two rear wheels are 340 Dart variety - 5-1/2 inches wide. All new tires as well.
Headliner has some holes, nothing unexpected. And the gas gauge doesn't register - no idea if its the gauge or the sending unit.
Pretty straight all around except for the rear quarters. No rusty, just well-dented. Layson's makes repair panels for $150 a side - remember to specify 1965 panels - Plymouth used up the 65 panels on the 66 wagons only. For me it became part of the car's character. I do not like rust but dents are tolerable for a car of this age of life.
The car runs, drives and stops fine. In my opinion the clutch is a bit weak but fine if you're not looking to smoke the tires. I have not had it on any long trips so in answer to the Will the car make it to??? I can only respond with a definite I don't know.
Before I repaired the existing exhaust I purchased new header and tailpipes- they go along with the car. As does the vintage roof racks (waiting for a surf or paddle board)
Do not hesitate to ask questions. More photos if you need. Video isn't out of the question.
