Description:

First off: THIS CAR IS ALL STEEL!!!
Built by Jerry Gennuso somewhere around 2006 with additions and refinements by Rick Erickson in 2013. This car is a tribute to the fine kustoms built by Harry Westergard and his mentor, Dick Bertoluccie. The Westergard style has been emulated by many builders throughout the years, including but certainly not limited to the Barris brothers. With the addition of a full air bag suspension this beauty not only lays frame but makes for one very kool taildragger. This 36 coupe was radically chopped, totally smoothed, with both the hood sides and rumble seat filled in. Below is a list of the many donor parts used to comprise this Westergard Style Kustom:
1936 Cadillac LaSalle grille
1941 Cadillac hood ornament
1941 Plymouth headlights
1940 International front fenders, molded and peaked
1953 Chevy front wheel wells
1934 Hudson rear fenders, molded, stretched and peaked
1941 Buick skirt trim
1939 Lincoln Zephyr taillights (repop led)
The whole rear section of the car including the license plate frame and rear apron were all hand formed along with the running boards.
INTERIOR:
Chevy tilt column with working turn signals
Stock center gauge with speedo, temp and volts
Separate fuel gauge
I can pack 2 suitcases, 2 coolers, 2 chairs and a tool box and detail kit behind the seats.
DRIVETRAIN:
305 Chevy with 2 barrel
700r4 trans
10 bolt Chevy rear
This baby gets over 20 MPG!
SUSPENSION:
Front: 1978 Ford Mustang full rack with power steering, disc brakes and Fox nitro shocks with air bags
Rear: Modified 2 link with panhard, Fox Nitro shocks and air bags
I drove this car from So. Cal out to Phoenix last month (800 mile round trip) and she ran flawlessly. I did develop a leak in the rear pinion seal so into the shop she went.
New rear pinon seal
Fixed rear air bag leaks
Ground round the rear drums with new shoes
Replaced all of the front suspension and control arm bushings
Installed new proportioning valve in the brake system.
This car cruises down the road like the true kustom it is and she stops and steers like a newer car. I drive this car about 4 days a week and it has NEVER let me down. It is just way too Kool. Of all the Kustoms I have ever owned, this one is by far the baddest, most reliable and unique!
She is ready to take to the next level or, enjoy her as she is!
This car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. I highly suggest you call me if you are a serious buyer. It would be to your benefit. Nine 51, Five 91, 05 Five Six. I can store this car in my shop for 3 months.
