Description:

I bought this car as part of a package deal and I don't have time to play with it. It's really cool to drive and it turns heads. It could use some TLC and then some. The headliner is missing. The sun visors have genuine duct tape on them. It is a 6 volt, positive ground electrical system which works well; especially with the 6 VOLT ALTERNATOR! (I never heard of a 6 V alternator before!) The driver's side door window is cracked and there is a rock chip in the driver's side windshield. A previous owner had installed a window washer system. (I don't think they had these in '52...) The wipers work but the blades should be replaced. The head lights and turn signal lights work. I think the brake lights work. I didn't try the cigarette lighter. The front bench seat needs some attention. I have to sit on a pillow (which I will include in sale) to see over the steering wheel safely. I suppose if you want to look cool you can bypass the pillow. The seat; which is in good condition, except the springs, needs WD40 (or something) on the passenger side as it doesn't lock in place. The back seat seems to be in very good shape.I think someone has replaced the floor pans already. I had the holes in the trunk repaired. It looks ok underneath as best as I can tell. I haven't had it up on a rack. The brakes are good except it seems to have a bent or warped brake drum; I'm assuming it is in the front, because the brake pedal fluctuates a tad bit. The paint is good with a few scratches in it and of course; it is not original paint. The hubcaps are period correct as I understand. There is a bit of a thump when hitting a bump (lots of speed bumps where I live) that comes from the back of the car. I have not investigated the problem. The previous owner put the Texaco decals on the rear side windows. I wasn't sure if I should remove them or not. I didn't. Someone told me they are worth some money too, but I never checked on that. There is no radio.I think I covered most everything. . I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. I tried to provide pictures that help to tell the whole story on this really cool car. Feel free to give me a call, no texts, or email with your questions. My name is Keith and my phone number is 608-201-3705. The car is in Janesville, WI. 53546. I reserve the right to end this sooner because this IS for sale locally.

“This unique car runs and drives nice. The body is in good shape; (I'm sure there is some bondo in there somewhere.....)It ain't perfect. Has a flat head 6 cyl with 3 on the tree. Clutch and transmission seems to work well. However, on the highway, it seems to need a 4th gear or overdrive. I haven't found an overdrive lever. So the "top" speed is about 55 mph. Rides nice. Very good tires.”
