Project car
Generally in pretty good shape for its age, some rust around the lower parts of the car and the floor pans. The car only has 58, 500 miles on it. There is a small crack in the windshield, and a slight dent in the driver's rear quarter panel. All trim appears to be there and be in pretty good shape. The interior is okay, the back seat looks great, the front seat is worn, door cards are pretty shot as in the headliner, pretty typical for the age of the car. The engine bay looks fine, the engine ran well before putting it away. The transmission shifted well, but took a minute to warm up. Do not believe the car is driveable now. Battery is likely toast, and I'm guessing the gas is pretty bad by now. Plan on towing it home.
The car was purchased by my wife in 2010 in northern MN. She wanted a funky car to drive around from time to time, but we never got to making that happen. At the time it needed some brake work, and just some maintenance to put it on the road. I want my storage space back and the passion for the project is gone.
The title went missing before it was transferred. I don't have any way to get in touch with the previous owner. I do not know exactly how to get a new one issued for the car. I recommend you contact the state and ask if it's an issue for you.
Parts car
According to the previous owner the car was in good shape and then it was in a minor accident and was parked. He believed the engine to have been rebuilt shortly before decommissioning. Some of the interior is missing. There is rust on the car, but not a complete rust bucket. The radiator and carb are missing, so it will need to be towed as well. I never had a title for this car. Pretty handy to have a parts car around for a project like this.
Other tid-bits
I don't want anyone being disappointed. The car needs work, it will be a project before it will be a driver. It will be a big project before it will be a show car.
