We are offering this stunning 1969 Plymouth Road Runner Hemi. This is an authentic piece of Mopar history! We have lots of documentation on this car that includes the original build sheet, Galen Govier documentation, and Chrysler registry sheet. This car is believed to be the one that was used to cast the Platinum Johnny Lightning Hemi Road Runner die cast collectible (one will be included in sale). All the sheet metal including the quarters and floors are original, super straight, and show no rust. The Platinum Metallic paint is excellent and show ready. It is sitting on the original wheels.
This Road Runner only has 46, 748 original miles which are documented on the title. Under the hood of this classic Mopar is the very rare and correct 426 Hemi with the VIN # stamped on the bottom of the engine block. The motor starts with ease and has a very healthy sound. Both carburetors have been recently rebuilt. This car features the optional Air Grabber option under the hood. Power is transferred through a factory 4 speed manual transmission. There were very few Platinum Metallic 4 speed Hemi Road Runners produced, and this could very well be one of the few in existence that still has all the original body panels.
Inside the car, the original B5 blue interior has been tastefully converted to a black bucket seat interior. We have the original blue bench seat that will be included with the car. Everything inside the car is in excellent condition and shows little to no signs of wear. This Hemi also features a factory in-dash tachometer which is in working condition.
