Up for your consideration is a 1970 Plymouth Superbird which has its born with original Engine. The Engine and Trans were professionally rebuilt to better than factory specs (forged pistons, ARP bolts, hardened exhaust seats, balanced, much more) in Oct 2008 cost $10, 000.00, the recipes are included. It also had new seals installed in the original rear axle. It has approximately 700 miles since and only to local car shows and weekend cruises.
This car was purchased new at New Baltimore Chrysler Plymouth INC July 7th 1970 by Leonard then passed to son in 1972, a one family owned car, 70's original title. When purchased new it was sent to Ziebart undercoating for protection. This car also had dealer AC installed but has since been removed, the AC decal is still on the rear window and paperwork included. It also had a dealer installed electric trunk release.
This car is a great fun quality driver that is dependable and can be driven safely down the road to your destination. This car was a one family owned car, has ALWAYS been garage kept. This car has some very nice paperwork with it like the original dealer sales receipt, the original window sticker from 1970 and more. The factory am/fm radio works as does everything else except the clock.
This car still retains its original steel nose with vacuum operated headlights that work and to my knowledge this car has never been wrecked. This car was repainted in 1978, paint is Nice and shiny but from the years it has some small road blemishes but still looks very presentable. This is not a new repaint so you see what you are getting. Holley carburetor, Mopar performance ignition and distributor currently installed but original items included.
I believe this Superbird is on the NASCAR list as the 36th conversion date Rec Nov-5 / date shipped Nov-12, it is Vitamin C Orange in color.
Under the hood is the original numbers matching 375 horsepower 440 Super Commando engine. It is still wearing many of its original factory components. Like the air cleaner, original cast iron exhaust manifolds, intake, fan 2863 216, ect. The 26-inch radiator 2998 956 has been recored. The Carb 4738s, fuel line, distributor 3438 222 and original brake booster included.
Since I could only list 24 pictures I doubled up on several of them. One is the core support vin stamp and the engine vin stamp. Two is the left trunk rail vin/part number stamp and right trunk rail part number stamp. Third is the original window sticker and dealer sales receipt.
