1970 Plymouth Road Runner, 383 original matching 4v engine car, it also has the original Auto trans as well, in fact the entire car is all original and had been in storage and off the road since 1978 when it was eight years old. The owner had plans after buying it new in 1970 to make performance modifications and instead that's where it sat for the next 37 years, The vehicle was then sold and taken from storage and made street worthy again. The car was only restored to a certain point as to retain as much originality as possible, the engine was removed because it had not run in all those years, it was remarkably in very good condition and showed nearly no wear, the cylinder bores were honed after the blocked was hot tank dipped and cleaned, new freeze outs and threads chased and cleaned, new cam and crank bearings as stock/original were replaced by a local reputable machine shop, everything was reassembled and the original carb was rebuilt and installed, the engine starts and runs as if it were new. Note, have pics of the block numbers that match the vehicle vin. The original exhaust manifolds were replaced but there is a new dual exhaust system. The gas tank was replaced new as well. The exterior was media blasted and the vehicle was primed and repainted the original Burnt Orange factory color, as reported by the painter there was minimal to zero rust only surface type so the vehicle actually retains all its original floor, fender and other body panels, The car, other than what was done recently to help restore it was never taken apart or messed with, I even have the original production broadcast sheet from under the back seat, it truly is a car that was left alone and only driven for 8 years, very cool concept if your looking for original, if not, then who cares (as I don't) and forget about originality and this is a great car to take and modify and make a sick cool looking hot rod, I love the one year body style on 1970 Road Runners, I am selling this car only because certain things in my life have changed and now I'm moving and can not take my cars with me, so my small collection must go up for sale. The interior in my opinion was left original and I think should be replaced, I had priced it out at Year One, you could put a nice new black headliner, carpet front and rear seat covers and door panels for about a grand, not to bad! you could also go the original white. There is a place in the dash where the Tach could go but there is a blank there (original tach delete), everything appears to work on the car all the signals, lights, side marker lights temp gauges and speedo, the gas gauge worked when I bought it and the tank and sending unit are all new but the gas gauge recently stopped working, there is power going to the sending unit so it probably is the float, I tried to cover everything I can remember, but if there is anything that anyone would like to ask feel free to call me 732 500 8120, I'm listing the car at .01 cent, if you would like to call I'm available most all the time as I'm retired, but the cars must go and the first reasonable offer that comes along it go's.
