Plymouth Road Runner (1974)
for sale
Price: US $1,974.00
Price: US $1,974.00
This auction is for an amazingly nice survivor quality 1974 Plymouth Road Runner Coupe. It has its matching numbers 318 V-8 (originally 2 BBL but upgraded to 4 BBL), Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, Power Front Disc Brakes and 3:21 Rear Axle. Other options include Tinted Glass, Bucket Seats with Console Floor Shift, Strobe Striping and Hood Stripe, Sport Mirrors with Drivers Side Remote along with other features. A factory AM/FM Radio was added and also a rear Go Wing. The car sports mostly all its original paint (JY9 Tahitian Gold Metallic). As per the prior owner, it is an actual 31, 000 Mile car. We do have the original 2 BBL Carb and Intake and also the original Exhaust Manifolds. They will be included with the sale. We have a lot of documentation (2 Build Sheets, Fully Decoded, Show Room Brochures, Original Owners Manual and the Tennessee Title). The car runs, drives and handles excellent. You can get in, turn the key and drive the car home. Its like being in 1974 all over again. Just installed brand new Dual Exhaust system with a nice throaty sound. Even have the correct flame tip exhaust extensions. The body on the car is super straight, never rusted and I believe never hit. All lines are beautiful. There is one slight minor rub on the passenger rear quarter flare just above the wheel house molding. You have to look to see it. Didn't even break the paint. All the moldings and chrome are like the day it came from the factory. The interior is close to perfect. One of the buttons on the drivers seat bottom has a wear spot. Dash is perfect. Original headliner nice. Door panels, carpets, etc like new. Glass is all like new. You can tell this was a pampered car all its life and from what i understand always garaged. The only incorrect thing I see is the 340 numbering on the hood sticker. .Don't know why it is there but perhaps to give the impression of a 340 under the hood as this car sounds like it has one. They are just vinyl letters stuck to the white stripe. A heat gun treatment and they will easily remove without hurting the stripe. A set of rear air shocks were installed and also the factory rims have been replaced with Torque Thrust style wheels and brand new Master Craft Raised white Letter Tires . They really set the car off nicely. I believe the spare tire is the original one from new. Jack and tools are in great shape and in place. I think you would be hard pressed to find another equivalent car. Matching numbered, well documented quality cars like this are starting to soar in value. Here.s your chance to buy one at a REALISTIC price. Remember the car shows and cruises are just getting ready to start and this car is ready to be enjoyed immediately. You will not be disapointed. Sorry for the bright sunlight on the pictures but the pictures don.t do the car justice. If you are in our area please stop in to see the car in person.
