1962 Plymouth Valiant 225 slant 6 with the Clifford package, which has an aluminum 4 barrel intake with a holley carb, and split header into full length dual exhaust. Running gear seems to be original, but I'm not sure, does have a floor shift that was moved from the steering column, shifts fine once you get used to it. Went to the spring rod run in Pigeon Forge Tenn, walked around for three days looking at every kind, make, and model of hot rod, vintage, and muscle car, if there was one of these there I sure didn't see it. 1962 Plymouth Valiant 2 door posts are that rare, and ones in this condition are almost impossible to find. There is no rust on the car, come or send someone I have magnets, lights, jacks, and creepers, we will go over it. The car runs, and drives good, has a little loose play in the steering gear, the front end is fine. If there was a two lane road from NC to Calif. I would not be afraid to take this car on that trip, it is just geared to low for extended interstate speeds, turns about 3000 rpm at 60 mph, there were not as many super highways in 1962. If you have ever wanted one of these, and you miss out on this one, you may find another some day, but it won't be any better, and probably not as good. The car is as good or better than the pictures. If you want very good driver quality you have it, if want to do a trailer queen or a V8 conversion hot rod, whatever, you will be starting way ahead with this car. The car is setting a little high because the torsion bars are tightened up, and the air shocks are pumped, sort of the old school look, this can be reversed easily if you prefer a lower stance.
